Montifalco Vineyard
Montifalco Vineyard is a small, family-run farm winery established in 2016 in Ruckersville, Virginia, within the Monticello American Viticultural Area. Owner and winemaker Justin Falco crafts the wines from grapes grown on site, and the name plays on both the family's "Falco" heritage, meaning hawk or falcon, and the nearby Monticello region. Guests are welcomed Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5pm for award-winning traditional wine tastings offered in the winery's Cave and Curiosities Gallery by reservation or walk-in. The setting is intentionally relaxed and contemplative, with an emphasis on appreciating the craft of grape growing and winemaking, and the property is also a haven for raptors and birdwatching, from peregrine falcons and red-tailed hawks to its popular goldfinch feeders. A member of the Monticello Wine Trail and several Virginia and international wine associations, Montifalco is an adults-only working farm winery that welcomes outside food outdoors and limits groups to six guests for an unhurried experience.
